Job Description:

Zeus Associates Recruiting and Staffing is seeking for Registered Respiratory Therapist - Acute Care General Medical/Surgical.

The assignment is for 3 to 6 months.

The work schedule is full time for 3 days per week, total of 37.5 hours per week, days will rotate and scheduling can be requested.

All shifts.

New Hires will receive an online orientation on start date

Job Requirements

• Current New York State Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• Minimum of 1 years recent experience(within past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level as Hospital
• Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record preferred
• Able to perform majority of RT patient assessment in the level of acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision
• Must possess ability to perform arterial puncture to obtain and analyze blood gases
• Must possess ability to administer inhaled medications
• Must be able to respond to Code Blues and Rapid Responses
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated
• Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim
• Must have verification of legal right to work in U.S.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
• All candidates are subject to drug screening and criminal background check
• All required background check and Health materials attached must be completed prior to start date.

Certifications

Certified in BLS and able to be re-certified

Certification/experience required where applicable depending on the specialty including but not limited to: BLS
